Homenatge

Small homages to people, places and bottles that shaped how I think about wine.

The range

Four wines, each a small thank-you.

Homenatge means tribute, and each of these wines is a small thank-you: to the grapes I work with, to the way wine used to be made and drunk, and to the dry, wild landscape of the Massís del Garraf. They are not concept wines and I do not work them heavily. They are straightforward, drinkable bottles that still carry a sense of place, through freshness, salinity, texture and restraint.

Blanc is for the white grapes I work with: light, fresh and easy to drink, with a quiet complexity. Pell is for the wines of the past, the old skin-contact whites with texture and character, here a Xarel·lo made for mouthfeel. Rosat is for the wild Garraf and the boar that roam the vineyards: a fresh Sumoll rosé with red fruit and wild herbs. Negre is for the native black grapes of the Massís, Sumoll again, fresh and vibrant, with red fruit and a saline note.

Grapes from Massís del Garraf, Penedès. Soils are predominantly limestone with sand and clay. All wines from Garraf are ecological.
